In a recording to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a variety of country stars contribute select cuts in what is a fairly straightforward collection that includes a handful of dynamite vocal performances. Lonestar turn up the heat on "I'll Be Home for Christmas," while Bryan White pours it all out on "When You Wish Upon a Star" (not your typical holiday number, but it works as well as the usual suspects). Martina McBride also belts out "O Holy Night," while appearances from Travis Tritt, Clint Black, Alabama, Lorrie Morgan, and others round out the 14-song package and make this a pretty inviting grab bag for any mainstream-country fan. --Martin Keller
